As like people and pets this heterochromia iridum is also common in birds.

Due to heterochroma condition colors are changes of skin, hair, eyes.

  • From Heterochtromia condition makes discoloration on Skin and makes some small spots of white color on the body, can be at hand, legs, or on the head of scalp and can be whole body covers by white color spots etc.
  • From heterochromia of hair in birds make discoloration of bird’s hair. Hairs can be white or multi-colors etc.
  • Heterochromia iridum of eyes makes discoloration of iris in birds due to bird one eye color can be in blue, yellow, black etc. or can be in multi-colors.

Types  of  herochromia  in  birds

In Segmented or partial heterochromia only half part or some part of iris color changes and remain other parts of iris.  That segmented heterochromia can be  in people or animal or birds.

Complete heterochromia in birds

In complete heterochromia completely one eye color is change and other one eye is living same. The discoloration eyes colors may be in blue, black, etc.  That Complete heterochromia can be happened in someone people or animal or birds.

Central heterochromia in birds

From central heterochromia iridum multi-colors is generated in one eye that colors make around the pupil. That Central heterochromia can be happened in someone people or animal or birds.

Causes of heterochromia

In most of the cases heterochromia is hereditary it can be from parent to child and it can causes by syndrome or injury.

  • Herring Gull

 

  • Domesticated Rock Pigeon(Columba livia domestica)

 

  • Brewer’s Blackbird

 

  • Thayer’s Gull

Many species of Herring Gull in various countries often found the cases of heterochromia that species names are

European herring gull

American herring gull,

East Siberian gull

Etc.

Thus we can say that in the world many species of Herring Gull. In this picture we can see a European herring gull. The European herring gull lives in cold areas and likes to makes its resident near cold places. This European herring gull can be 66 centimetre long.  It has six or more species in the world. These species are mostly suffer from heterochromia symptoms.

Thayer’s Gull

Thayer’s Gull have native at North America. Its neck, head, breast etc. is in white color and its legs are in pink color. It is beautiful bird. These Thayer’s Gull Species are mostly suffer from heterochromia symptoms.

As we can see in picture above. It is really beautiful bird. Bird hair is in multi-colors that are orange, green, pink, blue colors etc. we can see in fig. that is really wonderful pigeon. In this pigeon eye we can see it has heterochormia condition in eye that is sectorial heterochromia or partial heterochromia in its eye. Due to heterochromia condition makes discoloration in eye of the pigeon.

We can see in pigeon’s eye that half part of the eye is affected by the heterochromia and rest part remains same of iris color in its eyes this is partial heterochromia. Its half part of iris eye is in dark brown and other parts of the iris is remain same yellow that is sectorial heterochromia condition in the pigeon. Heterochromia in pigeon occurs due to lack of the pigment melanin or a relative excess or old injury or may be genetic. This type of heterochromia in birds is common and that heterochromia condition is also occurs in people and pets etc.

This domestic rock pigeon as we can see in picture this is really wonderful pigeon. Its neck is shining in blue color that makes good looking of pigeon. We can see that pigeon has heterochromia symptoms on his head, legs, neck and on its paw etc. due to heterochromia condition as we know making discolouration on its body thus we can see that pigeon has white skin color on his head, legs break and legs etc. As we can see this pigeon is in odd-color. Heterochromia in pigeon occurs due to lack of the pigment melanin or a relative excess or old injury or may be genetic. This type of heterochromia in birds is common and that heterochromia condition is also occurs in people and pets etc.

Heterochromia condition occurs in the Brewer’s Blackbird due to lack of the pigment melanin or a relative excess or old injury or may be genetic. This type of heterochromia in birds is common and that heterochromia condition is also occurs in people and pets etc.

We can see in fig.3 a Brewer’s Blackbird. It is really beautiful bird. In the Brewer’s Blackbird eye we can see it has heterochormia symptoms in eye that is sectorial heterochromia or partial heterochromia in its eye. Due to heterochromia condition make discoloration in eye of the black Brewer’s Blackbird. As we can see in fig.3 Brewer’s Blackbird eye that half part of the eye iris is affected by the heterochromia that is partial heterochromia. Its half part of iris eye make in dark blue and other parts of the iris is remain same so this is sectorial or partial heterochromia condition in the Brewer’s Blackbird. The Brewer’s Blackbird has yellow iris but half part of its iris is affect by dark blue color this is heterochromia condition in Brewer’s Blackbird.
